H O L I D A Y S!!

Oh, I love the holidays and Christmas is getting near every minute. There are about 7 days, 10 hours, 6 minutes and 32 seconds till Christmas comes. Now, do you think about different kinds of decorations, meals and presents? Are you excited and stressed about the coming holidays? Don't worry about them because now is the time to have fun, now is the time to celebrate.

I love the Christmas spirit. All the songs, they bring such spirit in people for the holidays. In my school, yesterday and today, the teachers stood in the foyer of one of the buildings and started singing Christmas Carols. We, the students, joined the teachers in some of them (the ones we knew the lyrics). Another part of the Christmas spirit is the Christmas Tree. Have you and your family bought one? My family always buys it in the last moment but I am really excited when that happens. We take out all our decorations and "dress" the tree in beautiful toys. When we put the lamps on it, it is as if the whole tree is shining.

I expect with pleasure Christmas Eve. I want to try all these lovely meals of that night (even though they have no meat I really like them). In my country, Bulgaria, there is a tradition to put a coin in the cake and the person who gets the slice with that coin, he/she will be lucky the next year. (I have got the coin only twice and I hope that I will get another one this year) Another tradition is to go with a candle in all the rooms in the house in order to "lighten" the rooms for the next year.

Now, there are the presents. I'm sure that you are wondering about the presents of your relatives and of your friends. You are wondering what should you buy. Now I'm going to write something you might think is stupid... but it does not matter what the presents are, big or small, cheap or expensive because all it matters is that you have bought something from your heart; something that you know the other person would like even though, it is not that big or expensive.

Christmas is a holiday that represents the birth of Jesus Christ. On this day, everybody should be with their family, everybody should be with the ones they love. It is a holiday of the family. It is the holiday where everybody should be together.

I wish you a Merry Christmas!

This is the text of my most favorite Christmas Carol:

Silent Night

Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child
Holy Infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace
Sleep in heavenly peace

Silent night, holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight
Glories stream from heaven afar
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia!
Christ, the Saviour is born
Christ, the Saviour is born

Silent night, holy night
Son of God, love's pure light
Radiant beams from Thy holy face
With the dawn of redeeming grace
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth
Jesus, Lord, at Thy birth"

Books for pleasure

Wordle: Untitled

Sometimes feeling alone and the only thing that can save you are the books? You want to go somewhere else, to a better place where, for example, you want to see a prince saving a princess; love wins and bad is beaten? You think that sometimes books make you happy and with pleasure espect to see what will happen in the next chapter? In this post, I am going to show you some books that have impressed me and have made me feel better and I hope that you will read them.
The first book that I'm going to write, is not a book, but stories written by Hans Christian Andersen. He has written a lot of interesting ones and some of them are "The Steadfast Tin Soldier," "The Snow Queen," "The Little Mermaid," The Little Match Girl, " The Ugly Ducking," etc. The stories that were very interesting for me when I was little, and still are, are the "The Ugly Ducking" and "The Little Matching Girl."

The "Ugly Ducking" is a story about a bird born in a barnyard and is told to be ugly, not like the other birds. But in the end, it matures into a graceful swan which is the prettiest of all.

The story "The Little Match Girl" tells us about a girl who is selling matches in the cold New Year's eve. Nobody buys a match from her and she is freezing. She decides to light one match to cool herself and when she does this, she sees Christams tree and a holiday feast. After that, she sees a falling star which reminds her of her grandmother who has said that such stars meant that someone has died. She lights another match and sees her grandmother. She lights another and another to keep seeing that vision. The child dies of coldness and her grandmother takes her to Heaven and in the morning, in the new year, the people could see the red cheeks and the smile on the face of the dead girl. It is a sad but an interesting story that shows that the girl has seen the only person she wanted on the New Year's eve- her grandmother who has always given her love.

Two or three years ago these books were my favorites. The trilogy "Dark Materials" written by Philip Pulman. The three books are full with extraordinary things beyond our imagination. It is a story about a girl, Lyra, who doesn't know her parents and her only relative is her uncle, Lord Asriel (who, in the end of the first book, turns out to be her father). In the books are told Lyra's adventures till she finally "saves" the world.

Another book that was a very interesting for me was "The Catcher in The Rye" whose writer is J. D. Salinger. It is a story about a life of a "man" who faces a lot of difficulties during his life in a school in Pennsylvania.

I'm sure that everybody knows the books abour Sherlock Holmes written by Arthur Connan Doyle. They tell a story about a detective, Sherlock Holmes, who can undestand a lot about a man just by seeing it, and his helper, Dr. Watson. They take really complicated cases which have an unexpected end. My most favorite book of these series is "The Hound of the Baskervilles."

The last book that I am writing in this post is the "Arch of Triumph" written by Erich Maria Remarque. It is a story about a man whose name is Ravic who lives during the Second World War. He lives in Paris and is a surgeon, even though he doesn't have permission to do that. He meets and actress who changes his life forever... (that's what I remember)

Some people think that reading is just a lost of time but they are wrong. People have spent months and even years writing books that are interesting for people. If you read a book and undesrtand what's in it, it will become enjoyable for you and you will expect with pleasure to see what happens in the end.

My five most favorite songs that make me smile...

Music is a kind of thing that helps people when they are alone. Music helps people to undestrand some major events in an easier way. Music is life.
Here I decided to make a rating of five of my favorite songs that make me smile.

1. Lifehouse - From Where You Are - this is a great song which I really like. If you decide to listen to it I recommend you to listen to the lyrics because they are very inspiring and make you think about what they say you. (and it is from my favorite group)

2. Pitbull - I Know You Want Me - this is a song that was sung every day on a camp I was and I know the lyrics by heart. I recommend you to listen to it, it is an addictiong song. (here is the official site of the singer)

3. Black Eyed Piece - I Gotta Feeling - this is a song that has a really nice rhythm and if you "got a feeling that tonight's gonna be a good night" then you should definetely hear that song (here is the official site of the group)

4. Kid Cudi - Day 'n' Nite - this is a very rhythmical song and I recommend it to you. When I first heard it, it stayed in my head for a long time.

5. Ayo- Down On My Knees - that song is the song! I heard it for the first time during my dance classes and when I heard the song, I remembered the lyrics so that I could google them and find the singer of that song. (here is the official site of the singer)
